The Avadiya Full Moon Retreat is a one-of-a-kind experience in Sri Lanka a conscious gathering held once a month under the full moon, deep within the untouched jungles of Okkampitiya – Maligavila.

Surrounded by ancient trees, flowing rivers, wild animal pathways, and the quiet power of the forest, this retreat invites you to slow down, reconnect, and experience nature in its purest form.

This is not a luxury resort. This is raw nature, mindful living, and deep presence.


The Journey to Avadiya

Your retreat begins even before you arrive.

On the way to Avadiya, you pass the sacred Maligavila Buddha Statue, a reminder of stillness, simplicity, and inner awareness. As the road leads deeper into the forest, the noise of modern life fades, replaced by birdsong, rustling leaves, and the rhythm of the jungle.

Avadiya is located close to an elephant corridor, where wildlife moves freely a living reminder that here, humans are guests in nature’s home.
